Official DoE service guidance (opens in a new tab)
Which service does my facility need?

Start with your industry, location, project stage and existing documents. We can review this information with you to define the appropriate consultancy scope. The required assessment and documents depend on your project and the applicable DoE requirements.

Do all projects need EIA, IEE and EMP?

The required documents vary with the project category, activity and assessment requirements. These are different types of assessment and planning support; they are not automatically a single package for every facility. We clarify the scope before work begins.

What will the consultancy deliver?

The proposal should identify the agreed document review, assessment, management plan or application support, along with the information needed from you. Site visits, monitoring or laboratory testing requirements can be discussed when defining that scope.

How are the cost and timeline decided?

They depend on the site, project complexity, available information and agreed work. Share your existing documents and any target dates so we can discuss a suitable scope. Authority review time is separate from preparation of the consultancy deliverables.

Does application support guarantee clearance?

Clearance decisions are made by the Department of Environment. Consultancy support helps prepare and clarify the required information; approval depends on the authority’s review and the project meeting the applicable requirements.
